When to go
May to October for green; winter for snow and near-empty guesthouses.

Misty and silent until nine, busy from noon, quiet again after six.
Where to stay
Wooden guesthouses on the water, or higher up the valley for the view.
Beyond the lake
Drive up to Şekersu or Demirkapı if the weather is clear.
