Trabzon Center — also written Trabzon centre, downtown Trabzon or Trabzon merkezi — is the Ortahisar district around Meydan Park. It is where most visitors stay, eat and shop, and the starting point for Boztepe, Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya), Sumela and Uzungöl trips.

Eating and shopping

Getting around
The centre is walkable. Taxis are cheap for Boztepe and Hagia Sophia, and the coastal road takes you east to the stadium, Yomra and the airport in 15–25 minutes.
Staying in the centre
Best for short trips and first visits — everything is on foot and tours pick up from here. Choose the coast or Yomra instead if you want sea views, parking and quiet.
